We were fortunate to float Alberta’s Bow River with owners David and Nancy. The Bow had a big flood in 2013 as most fly fishers in N America know. What many don’t know is that the rate of rebound of the river’s rainbow trout has been remarkable. Last year, 2014, the rainbows were very uniform at 18″ and tubular shaped. We had a mild, forgiving winter with a light mountain snowpack. The result has been an incredible resurgence of some very fat rainbows for so early in the season. David and Nancy share some thoughts of their favorite times and hatches on the Bow as well. Special thanks to David, Nancy, and wonderful guides Terry and Jeff for a great day out. :) www.fishtalesflyshop.com www.jensenflyfishing.com www.afglive.com
